Claim Rule

Any driver who finishes in the top 10 on the lead lap may claim any of the top 3 finishers of the feature. The claim is $750 plus your car. Driver keeps seat and belts.

Any driver wishing to make a claim must have taken the checkered flag and not have caused a caution period by spinning out. The claim must be made in cash or certified check to the promoter within 5 minutes after the completion of the feature. Any driver making a claim must drive his/her car immediately after the finish of the feature, under its own power to the claiming area. Only drivers and officials are allowed in the claiming area. The top 3 finishers in the feature must go to the claiming area immediately following the feature. If no driver comes immediately to the claiming area, the top 3 finishers may proceed to the pits.

No driver can make more than 2 claims within the same year. A driver can claim the same drivers car only once during the same year. If a claim is refused, it is not held against the claiming driver.

In order to claim, the claiming driver must have raced at least ½ of events at track or at least 3 consecutive feature events at track. No claim may be made against a driver on his/her first night at track.

Refusal to sell forfeits all cash, trophies and points for feature finish as well as a 2 week suspension from competition in division.

The motivation behind claiming is to keep the prices affordable and create competitive racing.
